Screen Yorkshire are pleased to announce that Rebecca Johnson will be the next commissioner in our series of spring briefing sessions.
Rebecca is senior commissioning editor for factual entertainment and entertainment for four channels at Virgin Media Television; Virgin1, Bravo, Challenge & Trouble. Rebecca is happy to address your queries at the session, so we would encourage you to check out the site, and come with questions in mind.
For those of you haven't been along to one of these sessions before, these events are an opportunity to meet with commissioners, to start building a relationship with the channel and to ask questions face to face. The commissioners will all be talking about the vision for their channel, the submission process, opportunities for specific slots, and will also be offering their perspective on 360 commissioning and cross platform opportunities.
As with all of these session, we give the commissioner the option of dedicating some time to short one-to-one sessions, which Rebecca is happy to do. Please note however that there will only be a very limited number of one-to-one slots available. These sessions will ONLY be available to book a week prior to the event, when SY will email all registered attendees a confirmation email with details of the slots. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
All attendees are asked to submit a brief sentence/list of recent credits via the online form whilst registering - which will provide Rebecca with a better overview of her audience on the day, and the work going on in the region.
