North Yorkshire Council Gives Business a Boost

One local authority in Yorkshire has launched a scheme it hopes will give regional businesses a boost during the current economic slump.Richmondshire council in North Yorkshire has opened a hot-desking system at 'serviced offices' site Innovate! in Colburn, in order to give small businesses a place to operate from.
Centre manager Abi Bromirskyj said: "We know that many small businesses would benefit from a dedicated office facility, but simply cannot afford to pay the associated overheads during the credit crunch."
She added that the new scheme will help regional firms cut costs while allowing them retain a professional image and deliver quality services.
